Police have increased patrols near the former Haslemere Prep School after reports of anti-social behaviour and criminal damage.

It comes after officers spoke to residents about increasing incidents - including shouting, swearing and throwing stones - on the site in Hill Road.

Surrey Police have told Greatest Hits they are aware it is an ongoing issue.

They say they are in touch with the development company that owns the building to make them aware that it is not secure - and "to ensure they are clear on their responsibility for anyone accessing the site."

The force's Waverley Beat's Facebook page says "anybody found on the site will be dealt with robustly."

A spokesperson for Surrey Police added the site is unsafe and could pose a danger to those accessing it, asking parents to ensure their children are not going there.
