Hampshire police asking for information after a man 'threatened' the public with a brick

The constabulary have made an appeal following the public order incident in Farnborough

On November 13, police were called to the shopping centre on Kingsmead amid reports of a man threatening shoppers. The individual allegedly held a brick in his hand and intimidated passers-by.

Hampshire Constabulary have started their investigation into the incident which occurred just before 10 AM.

Police are now looking for anyone who was targeted by the suspect and anyone who witnessed the disturbance. They have arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of section 4 of the public order act, causing fear of provocation.

The man in question has since been released under investigation. In an appeal for further information, Hampshire Constabulary released the following statement: "Officers would particularly like to speak to anyone who was affected by the incident. Did he shout abuse or threats at you? Did you feel distressed by what you saw?

"Were you in the area at the time of the incident? Did you see what happened? If you have any information please call us on 101 quoting 44220461258."
