As coronavirus restrictions begin to ease-the Guildford Lido will start to welcome visitors again from today (29 March).

The Lido which is run by Freedom Leisure will be re-opening in three stages.

The first gets underway today as part of Boris Johnson's road map out of lockdown starting with the opening of the 50m pool for cold water pre-season lane swimming.

Anyone who wishes to visit will have to book a one hour slot online before they can swim.

There will be no access to the changing facilities until step two of the road map so swimmers should arrive “beach ready”.

Changing facilities will be available for any disabled customers that require them and toilet facilities will be available for all users.

The Workshop gym will reopen as part of stage two in from April 12th subject to Government guidelines, and all changing facilities for the pool and gym will be available from this date.

The Lido grounds will reopen allowing lane swimmers and visitors to enjoy the space while following the Rule of 6 or household bubbles.

From 17th May public swimming will return and the slides and paddling pools will reopen.
