Group in Egham threatened with machete during attempted theft
It happened in a car park on Thorpe Lea Road in August, when four men tried to steal the bike but were confronted by the owner and others.
Surrey police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Egham.
On Wednesday (8 August) police were called to a report of three people attempting to steal a moped from a car park on Thorpe Lea Road at 3.45pm.
Four people attempted to steal a motorbike but were interrupted by the owner of the motorbike and other members of the public who ran into the car park.
The four offenders then tried to flee the scene on mopeds and one of the offenders threatened the group of people with a machete.
The offenders are described as white males, around the age of 20 or younger with a skinny build. Two of the males were described as wearing balaclavas and the other male was wearing a visor.
No one was injured.
