Frimley Park Hospital reintroduces mask wearing
Frimley Park Hospital is reintroducing mask wearing for all visitors patients and staff in its hospitals.
Last month wearing a face covering was made optional.
Frimley Health Foundation Trust says it is in response to the increasing prevalence of COVID-19 both within the Trust and the surrounding community.
This change to mask wearing will be reviewed in 2 weeks’ time.
Lorna Wilkinson, chief of nursing and midwifery said:
“Due to the significant increase in the number of Covid patients in our hospitals, we have taken the decision to reintroduce mask wearing for all visitors, patients and staff.
"This includes all public areas, including corridors, cafes and waiting rooms, as well as the wards and other clinical areas.
“This measure is to protect our patients, visitors and staff while there are very high rates of Covid in the community.
"The guidance will be reviewed during the coming weeks. Thank you to everybody for helping us to keep all of our patients, visitors and staff safe.”
