Free 'Walk This Waste' service trialling today for unwanted bulky waste items

The scheme is aiming to reduce fly-tipping in Aldershot and Farnborough

Rushmoor Borough Council are trialling a new scheme to help residents without access to transport get rid of bulky waste items for free.

Their aim is to reduce fly-tipping in Aldershot and Farnborough... and it's running until 11am on Saturday 7th December, having also run on Friday.

The times below may change during the day, so please check the van is at your chosen location before you take your item(s) to it.

Here are the times and locations tomorrow.

Saturday 7 December – from 7am to 11am

Entrance to Austen Road 7am to 7.30am

Entrance to Totland Close 7.45am to 8.15am

Entrance to Ballantyne Road 8.45am to 9.15am

First car park in Caswell Close 9.30am to 10am

Car park opposite Wren Way 10.15am to 11am

Items you can get rid of include mattresses, beds, furniture, fridges, freezers, microwaves, washing machines, TVs and carpets.

They won’t be accepting items like bags of household waste, commercial waste, hazardous waste (including asbestos and gas canisters) and paints.

It will accept anything that we normally collect on their bulky waste collection service. Please see our full list of items that they can and cannot collect on the day.
