Man arrested on suspicion of drugs offences in Fleet

He was also driving without insurance

A man has been arrested after being found with suspected Class A in Fleet.

Officers were patrolling the area when they stopped a Nissan Juke on Aldershot Road at around 10.30pm last night (12 November).

Following a search, they located suspected Class A drugs in multiple bags and £710 in cash.

All items, including the car, were seized.

A drugs wipe test was also carried out at the scene, which came back as positive for cocaine.

A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug and driving without insurance.

He remains in custody while enquiries continue.
