Fire now under control on Woodham Park Road

A fire has broken out at Woodham Park Road in Runnymede.

Eight fire engines and an aerial ladder platform are currently in attendance.

Surrey Fire and Rescue service says people should avoid the area.

A road closure is currently in place at the end of Queen Mary’s Drive down to Bourne Valley Nursery.

They issued this warning via social media.

The local force tweeted these photos from the scene.

People who are living nearby have advised that doors and windows should be kept shut.

An update was issued just after 5pm, stating the situation was now under control.
