Fire breaks out at shop in Witley

A fire has broken out at a shop in Witley this evening (17 December).
Surrey Fire and Rescue confirmed they were called at around 5:30pm to Petworth Road.
Five pumps are in attendance along with two hose reel jets and one overhead pump.
Fire crews tackled the blaze using breathing apparatus.
Surrey Police were also in attendance to assist with road closures at the scene but an ambulance was not required.
Surrey Fire and Rescue confirmed at around 7:30pm this evening that the fire is now out but they remain on the scene.
