People are being told to stay clear of an area where firefighters have worked through the night at a farm fire.

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was in a barn on Norwood Hill Road in Charlwood.

The fire service said crews were continuing to deal with the “significant” fire in a commercial storage unit after being called at about 00:35 BST.

A Surrey Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Our crews have been working through the night, and we currently have 30 people on scene, with five fire engines, an aerial ladder platform and a water carrier.

The service said water carriers were used in rural areas to ensure there was enough supply . and they are working closely with SES Water on site to manage this.
