Farnham restaurant shut "until further notice" following fire

A restaurant in Farnham town centre that has been badly damaged by fire has confirmed it will be closed until further notice.

Caffé Piccolo had been operating a takeaway service under lockdown rules, until the blaze in the early hours of this morning (11 November).

The building which is home to the restaurant suffered damage to the ground floor, first floor and roof.

Fire crews battled for four hours to put out the fire.

In a statement on Facebook Caffé Piccolo said: "With a great sadness, we have to announce that because of devastating fire in early hours on the morning of 11th of November, our beloved Caffe Piccolo will be closed until further notice.

"We would like to thank everyone for amazing support you’d showed us all these years and we hope we get back on our feet soon.

"Lots of love and take care, your team Caffe Piccolo."
