Man arrested after Class A drugs found in Farnborough

He tried to escape police by jumping out a window

A man’s been arrested after police found suspected Class A drugs in Farnborough last night (6th November).

Officers were called to Kingsley Road after reports of suspicious activity.

A man tried to escape through a window when officers arrived, but was caught.

The 26-year-old man from London remains in custody.

A Hampshire and Isle of Wight spokesperson said, "Officers from the Hart and Rushmoor Priority Crime Team attended a property on Kingsley Road at around 9pm on 6 November following reports of suspicious activity.

"When officers were at the scene, a man climbed out a living room window in a bid to flee the area.

"However, he was quickly detained, and a cling film ball containing more than 20 wraps of suspected Class A drugs was located in his pocket.

"The drugs, along with £390 in cash, were seized.

"A 26-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A.

"He remains in custody while our enquiries continue."
