Have your say on plans for Farnborough's proposed Civic Quarter
A consultation is now live on proposals to develop the area south of the town centre

The public is being invited to have their say on plans for Farnborough's proposed Civic Quarter.
The Rushmoor Development Partnership (RDP) wants to know what people think about the proposals to create "a sustainable and community-focused heart" for the town centre.
A consultation is now live featuring the proposals on regenerating the area just south of the centre - into a mixed use space for living, shopping, leisure and working.
It would also enable the creation of Rushmoor Borough Council’s separate plans to provide a new leisure centre.
The idea is to bring things closer to where you live including health and education - within a 15 minute walk or bike ride.
This concept aims to respond to the Council’s declared climate emergency, by introducing green initiatives at a local level and reducing travel, whilst also exploring ways to address urban expansion that pushes people on the peripheries further out.
Ahead of completing the final masterplan, the RDP is seeking feedback on what should be prioritised as part of the proposals for the area.
The consultation is running until 28 March 2021.

Martin Tennant, Chair of the Rushmoor Development Partnership, said: "With the Civic Quarter we have a really exciting opportunity to think about sustainable placemaking fit for the 21st Century, and with that create a new vibrant space for town centre living, which allows people to celebrate their community, shop local, access services, work collaboratively, and socialise with friends.
"We look forward to listening to the views of local people and using that to create a heart for Farnborough that benefits us all."
