Witnesses are being sought after an elderly person fell victim to a distraction burglary in Byfleet.

Two men knocked on the door of a house in Oyster lane on Friday afternoon at around 1pm (3 February) asking if they could take some disused radiators for scrap metal.

While one of the suspects was loading the radiators into their white van, the other took the elderly victim to the rear garden to see if there was any other scrap.

In the meantime, the suspect at the front went into the house and stole £500 in cash. They then both left the property in the white van.

The first suspect has been described as aged around 20/21 years old and about 5’8” tall.

He had short, dark hair, was clean shaven and wearing a white jacket with tight tracksuit trousers.

The second suspect was also described as slightly shorter than the first and of a stocky build. He was in his early 20’s and was also clean shaven.
