A drug dealer who dealt in class A drugs has been sentenced to three years and three months in prison.
Ardit Stafa, 22, of Gospatrick Road in Wood Green, London, was sentenced on Tuesday (4 May), at Guildford Crown Court, after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply a class A drug and possession of a fake driving licence.
He was pulled over in his car by police in the early hours of 19 March 2020 on Flambard Way in Godalming Godalming after they saw the driver behaving suspiciously.
Following enquiries on the roadside, officers were led to believe that Stafa had entered the UK illegally, and he was arrested.
Upon arriving at custody, Stafa presented a latex glove hidden in his clothes with 11 bags of cocaine inside. He also had a large number of bank notes.
Further enquiries revealed that Stafa had also presented fraudulent identification to officers.
PC David Eeles, who investigated the case, said: "Officers on routine patrol had reason to be suspicious in relation to Stafa’s behaviour and this has ultimately resulted in a significant amount of class A drugs being taken off of the streets of Surrey. I hope that this sentence shows that if you’re dealing drugs in Surrey, you will be found and brought to justice."
