Driver dies in Alfold crash

Police are appealing for witnesses

Police are investigating a crash in which one person died yesterday (4 January) in Alfold near Cranleigh.

A bus and a car collided on the A281 Horsham Road at around 4:30pm.

One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers suffered minor injuries.

Officers are asking for witnesses to come forward.

They also say anyone who witnessed the collision, or has information which could help, is asked to contact them straightaway via webchat on their website surrey.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident reference PR/P21002200.
