Driver caught eating porridge behind the wheel on M25
They had both hands off the steering wheel
A driver has been caught on video eating porridge while driving along the M25.
Surrey RoadSafe shared the footage on their Twitter account:
"The driver had no hands on the steering wheel as they ate their porridge, they said they didn't realise it was an offence to not have hands on the steering wheel."
A traffic offence report was issued to the driver for 'not in proper control'.
Surrey RoadSafe work in collaboration with Surrey Police and Surrey County Council to reduce the number of people killed and seriously injured on Surrey roads.
The hungry driver is not the only person who has been caught on video engaging in dangerous behaviours while driving.
Another motorist was pulled over on the M25 for using a mobile phone behind the wheel.
SurreyRoadsafe says they tried to deny it:
"When stopped, driver claimed they were drinking coffee but video shows otherwise!
"Traffic offence report issued 6 points, £200 fine"
