The British Transport Police has launched an appeal for the victim and any witnesses to come forward after an assault at Farnham railway station.

It's after a driver opened their door to someone who knocked on their window in the lower level car park - where they were assaulted before driving away.

The incident happened back on Saturday 16 December, between 12.15am and 12.30am, when the unknown individual approached the car before knocking on the driver's window and the person inside opened the car door.

Officers have confirmed the driver was then 'grabbed' around the throat, before the car door slammed closed and the car was driven away.

The individual is described as being a white man of slim build with dark short hair, wearing a dark jacket.

If you can help with their investigations, officers are urging you to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, with reference 28 of 16/12/23.

Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
