Surrey scored the lowest rate of reported domestic abuse-related incidents and crimes in England and Wales.
This is equivalent to 11 incidents and crimes for every 1,000 people in the population.
The exact number of cases recorded by Surrey Police were 13,390.
The data was provided to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) by local police forces around the country.
Durham Police recorded the most cases per person, equivalent to 49 incidents and crimes per 1000 people.
The police force revealed over 30,000 cases in the last year.
Rise in domestic abuse numbers
The ONS also revealed that those domestic abuse figures have risen, with the pandemic being linked to the increase.
Data shows the police recorded 845,734 domestic abuse-related crimes in England and Wales in the year ending March 2021, a 6% annual rise.
They made 33 arrests per 100 domestic abuse-related crimes, the same as in the previous year.
Calls to domestic abuse helplines increased significantly at the height of the pandemic.
Figures revealed that there were just under 50,000 calls to the national domestic abuse hotline, run by charity Refuge, in England.
