A dispersal order for a large part of Ash has been extended for a further month.

It is so police can continue to try to sort out anti-social behaviour issues after reports of criminal damage, harassment of residents, loud music, littering and anti-social use of motor vehicles.

The dispersal order means officers have the power to direct people committing crime or causing disorder to leave the area - including those who it is believed are likely to harass others.

The order is in place between 2pm and midnight.

Surrey Police say they are working with partners in the area to come up with a longer term solution to the issue.

A statement from the force said: "This is something we take very seriously and the neighbourhood team are working proactively with the community to find an effective long-term solution to this issue - including targeted patrols, sending information packs to parents at local schools and putting the dispersal order in place."

Officers are asking people to continue to report anti-social behaviour to them - by privately messaging them via Facebook or on their website: https://www.surrey.police.uk/ro/report/asb/asb/report-antisocial-behaviour/
