'Dementia doesn't just affect elderly', say Surrey charity
Younger People with Dementia are using Dementia Action Week to raise awareness of young onset dementia.
A charity that supports people with young onset dementia in Surrey is encouraging people to look out for symptoms.
It comes as the Alzheimer's Society promote Dementia Action Week in where they aim to raise awareness of symptoms.
The society reports that one in ten in the South East cannot name a single common symptom of dementia.
They say the main symptoms are memory loss, problems with communication, problems with vision, and changes in mood or personality.
Younger People with Dementia is a charity that supports people in Berkshire, Surrey Heath, and Farnham who are diagnosed with dementia below the age of 65. They run age-appropriate activities and support for family members and carers.
