Cyclist seriously hurt in crash in Surrey

A woman has been left with serious injuries following a collision between a bicycle and a car in East Clandon. It happed on Staple Lane at around 12:45pm on Friday 8th August 2025.

The cyclist, a woman in her 50s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver, a woman in her 70s, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving.

Police are looking to speak to anyone who might have witnessed this collision, or anyone with CCTV, dash-cam or helmet-cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident.
