Cyclist suffers life threatening injuries after crash in Virginia Water
Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage
A cyclist in his 40s is in hospital with life threatening injuries after a crash with a car in Virginia Water this morning.
It happened on London Road at the junction with West Drive at around 7.30 am - and involved a red mini.
Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
In a statement on their website, Surrey Police said: "We’re appealing for witnesses after a serious collision between a driver of a red Mini and a cyclist in Virginia Water earlier today (11 July)"
"The collision occurred at around 7.30am on the A30 London Road at the junction with West Drive.
"The cyclist, a man in his 40s, has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. His next of kin have been informed.
"The road is currently closed whilst emergency services attend the scene."
