The window of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care’s shop in Aldershot has been smashed during a break-in.

It follows an incident earlier this month in which a van belonging to the charity was stolen from Farnham before being torched in Fleet.

The latest incident happened on Tuesday night (23 February), the only item stolen was a pair of boots from the shop window in Union Street.

The charity is urging anyone with information to contact police.

Peter Foxton, Director of Income Generation at Phyllis Tuckwell, added: “With the current Covid situation, things are tough enough for us at the moment, as we have had to cancel many of the fundraising events which bring in money to help fund our care.

“Having to pay for shop window repairs is a waste of time and money that would be better spent on providing the important local end of life care which we give, free of charge, to our patients and their families.”

Hampshire Constabulary said confirmed an investigation into this incident is “currently ongoing”.
