Cranleigh fire believed to have been started deliberately

There were no injuries reported but police say a large amount of damage was caused

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses following a fire in Cranleigh.

Officers were called to Knowle Lane in Cranleigh at around 7pm on Saturday evening (4 September).

No injuries were reported but the blaze which started in a development of barns , has caused a large amount of damage.#

Police say an investigation has now been launched as the fire is believed to have been started deliberately.

Witnesses are now being asked to come forward, officers would particularly like to speak with motorbike rider, who was at the scene when the fire started prior to emergency services being called.
