Severe delays on Surrey M25 after car fire near Wisley

Drivers are warned of severe delays on the M25 in Surrey due to an earlier car fire during this morning's rush hour.

At one stage lanes were closed on both sides, between junction 10 for the A3 Wisley Interchange and junction 11 A320 St Peters Way in Chertsey.

Surrey Police and Surrey Fire and Rescue Service were in attendance.

Traffic service Inrix report there is congestion to before junction 9 (Leatherhead), and the A3 Ripley Bypass - back to Burntcommon northbound.

Traffic is also building up on routes through Oxshott and past Chessington World of Adventures.

Police say all lanes are now open but traffic is still backed up.
