Business competition for Spelthorne residents

The business minister and Surrey MP Kwasi Kwarteng's launched a competition for budding entrepreneurs - with a prize of ÂŁ3,500 up for grabs.

The Spelthorne Business Plan competition is open to local residents who are 16 and over with dreams of starting their own business.

The six best entries will present their idea "Dragons' Den style" to a panel of experts on the 14th July.

Applications needing to be submitted by 19th May 2022.

Cllr. Colin Barnard, Chair of the Economic Development Committee, said: “We are very fortunate to have so many talented people with great business ideas in our Borough and this is a fantastic opportunity for entrepreneurs to elevate their ideas to the next level. Good luck to all those that enter the competition and I look forward to meeting the finalists in July.”
