The RSPCA are appealing to the public for help after 2 bunnies were found seemingly abandoned on a road in Chipstead.

A passerby found them on Friday afternoon and they’re now being looked after by the Millbrook Animal Centre.

RSPCA Inspector Liz Wheeler said:

“The member of the public who found these poor bunnies said they had been found roaming along the road in Chipstead.

They took them to the vets who gave the rabbits a quick check over and luckily they were healthy. The vets then contacted us and I transferred the two female bunnies to our animal centre in Surrey.

“Unfortunately, it’s unclear from the vague information given at the time these rabbits were handed in whether they were abandoned or escaped pets so we’re keen to find out some more information, or help to track down their owners if they have become lost."

Anyone who may have seen anything near the train station is being asked to contact the RSPCA inspectors.

Both rabbits, Megan and Gemma, are both healthy will be re-homed if no owner comes forward.
