Station Road in Bramley to close as tap water notice continues
Thames Water are continuing to fix pipes damaged following a historic fuel spill
A major road through Bramley will close from Tuesday as Thames Water continue repairs following a historic fuel spill.
The water company confirmed Station Road would shut as it replaces pipes damaged by the incident.
An exact timescale for the repairs was not provided, but Thames Water say the road would stay closed "for the duration of these works."
The closure comes as more than 600 properties in the village continue to be told not to drink tap water.
It is after Thames Water reported a "possible deterioration in the water quality" after test results last Thursday.
The water company confirmed it is continuing to flush through pipes in the affected area.
Bottled water stations are also remaining open from 9am-9pm, and deliveries are taking place for those who are more vulnerable.
