Boy seriously injured in stabbing at Camberley park
Police believe he was the victim of a robbery
A boy has been seriously injured after being stabbed during a suspected robbery at a park in Camberley.
Surrey Police were called to Frimley Park Hospital on Saturday night (1 May) after receiving reports of a boy with stab wounds.
Officers believe the boy was the victim of a robbery in Southcote Park at around 10.30pm that evening, having been in the park with a group of friends.
The force added that he is expected to make a full recovery.
On Sunday (2 May) a cordon was in place around Southcote Park as investigators carried out a forensic search.
A 19-year-old male was arrested for theft, possession of a knife, attempt robbery, grievous bodily harm with intent and failure to appear in court. He has been remanded in custody for an outstanding warrant.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of grievous body harm with intent, possession of a class B drug and theft. He has been released on bail.
