Body found in Aldershot woodlands

Police have been called to Aldershot following the discovery of a man's body.

Paramedics also attended the scene in a wooded area on Mount Pleasant Road after it was found by a member of the public early this morning (3 September).

Officers say the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

In a statement Hampshire Constabulary said: "Emergency services are currently attending a wooded area in Aldershot following the discovery of a deceased male.

"We were called after a member of the public discovered the body at just after 6.30am this morning (September 3) in the woodlands on Mount Pleasant Road, near the junction with Windmill Road."

"The incident is being treated as a non-suspicious sudden death and a file will be passed to the Coroner."
