Body found believed to be that of missing Surrey woman
Officers had appealed for information after she disappeared over the weekend
A body, believed to be that of a missing woman, has been found in Surrey.
Police said the discovery was made at Newdigate Brickworks yesterday afternoon (14 December).
The body is thought to be that of 50-year-old Karen King, who disappeared over the weekend.
Although formal identification is yet to take place, Surrey Police said her family had been made aware and were being given support from specially trained officers.
The force added: “Our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.
“We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal and assisted with the search.”
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the death, although it is not believed to be suspicious.
Investigators said there was no evidence of any third-party involvement at this time.
