Body found next to A3 slip road in Guildford

Surrey Police are investigating after a body was found yesterday (23 August) next to the A3 slip road in Guildford.
The discovery was made near the junction with the A320 Woking Road heading out of the town at around 3pm in the afternoon.
This morning, the northbound slip road remains closed. Police say it is expected to stay shut for the rest of the day.
Surrey Police told Greatest Hits earlier today: "We are currently on scene following the discovery of a body next to the northbound A3 slip road out of Guildford, close to the junction with the A320 Woking Road at around 3pm yesterday (23 August).
"The investigation is in the early stages and enquiries into the circumstances of the death are underway.
"We are working in conjunction with Highways England and the road is expected to remain closed throughout the day.
"We ask members of the public to respect the cordons in place."
Inrix travel service said this morning: "The A3 northbound entry slip road closed, one lane closed due to police incident at A320 Woking Road (Stoke Crossroads).
"The slip road from the roundabout is closed with lane one (of three) also closed on the main carriageway."
