Ash Wharf dispersal order extended
Officers said it has been "very effective" in reducing crime and anti-social behaviour
A dispersal order in place in Ash Wharf is to continue.
The order, which runs between the hours of 2pm and midnight, has been renewed until 14 November 2021.
Surrey Police said that “previous dispersal orders for Ash Wharf have been very effective in reducing crime and anti-social behaviour”.
A dispersal order under Section 34 of the Anti-Social Behaviour Act gives officers the power to direct anyone committing crime or disorder to leave the dispersal order area.
That this includes the belief that they are likely to harass or cause alarm or distress to anyone else.
