Concessionary bus passes for Surrey back to pre-lockdown conditions

Arriva says it needs to ensure students travelling at peak times can socially distance

People with concessionary bus passes travelling on Arriva services in Surrey can now only use them after 9:30am Monday to Friday - and any time over weekends.

The policy was relaxed during lockdown, while there was space to ensure safe social distancing for passengers.

But two weeks after schools went back, the extra capacity is needed for students and commuters travelling at peak times, so they can safely socially distance.

The measure has been in place since Monday (29 March).
