Arrests after ‘sticks and glasses used as weapons’ in fight at Farnham pub
A number of people were seriously injured
Police are appealing for witnesses after three men were assaulted at the Spotted Cow pub in Farnham last night (7 July).
Officers were called to reports of a fight in progress “where sticks and glasses were being used as weapons” just after 10.30pm.
The fight had dispersed when they arrived.
An hour later, officers were called to Royal Surrey County Hospital after three men presented themselves with serious injuries, consistent with an assault.
A 43-year-old man and a 39-year-old man, both from Farnham, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. They remain in custody.
In a statement Surrey Police said: “The pub was busy at the time and we believe that multiple people would have witnessed the incident, and will possibly have footage or pictures on their phone.
