Aldershot Town manager Danny Searle reveals death of dad from coronavirus
He has called him his "inspiration"
Aldershot Town manager Danny Searle has revealed his father has died from coronavirus.
In a tweet this afternoon Searle called his dad an "inspiration" following his passing last night (7 December).
Searle said: "Last night I said goodbye to my Dad after losing his fight with COVID.
"He was my inspiration and I wouldn’t be where I am today with out him.
"I’m going to miss you more than words can say and will spend the rest of my life trying to make you proud. I love you Dad, rest in peace."
Messages of condolences have been far reaching for the Shots' manager.
Among them was Aldershot defender Lewis Kinsella, who said: "Thoughts are with you gaffer! Done an incredible job whilst going through this hope you and the family are okay!"
