Aldershot Military Museum is gearing up to celebrate its 40th anniversary in grand style with the much-anticipated return of Guns and Drums - last hosted at the museum in 2008. The event, taking place on Saturday 20 April from 10am to 4pm, is a one-day celebration of 40 years of Aldershot Military Museum filled with historical reenactments, military bands, educational workshops and family-friendly fun.

As a nod to its four-decade legacy, Aldershot Military Museum is pulling out all the stops to make this year's celebration truly memorable. Visitors of all ages are invited to join in the festivities and experience a vibrant showcase of military heritage and culture.

Highlights of the event include captivating performances by renowned groups such as the 10 QOGLC Pipes and Drums, Gordon's School Pipes and Drums and the 2nd Queen's Regiment of Foot reenactors – a regular favourite at the museum. History enthusiasts can also immerse themselves in interactive demonstrations, including the Griffin Historical’s flash in the pan gunpowder demo and children can take part in the engaging military beats children's workshop.

Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to explore various exhibits and participate in hands-on activities, such as the Farnborough and District Radio Society demonstrations and the

Farnborough War Games Society demo game. For those feeling particularly creative, the make and decorate a paper military drum station offers a chance to craft personalised keepsakes.
