Pedestrian suffers "significant" life threatening injuries' in hit and run in Farnham

Police are investigating a collision in which a man was hit by a car in Farnham.

The 52 year old was rushed to hospital by air ambulance after it happened in Farnborough road on Friday evening (6 November).

Officers say he was "being treated for significant, life-threatening injuries."

They say a dark grey Mercedes is reportedly involved.

The car failed to stop at the scene.

Police are trying to trace the vehicle which they say is believed to have "significant damage to the windscreen."

They have also released CCTV footage of a man they wan to speak to in relation to the incident.

On their website, Surrey Police say:

"If you have seen a Mercedes with recent damage to the windscreen or may have been asked to replace a damaged windscreen in the last 12 hours, or are suspicious of a person with access to a car matching the description and is behaving strangely, please contact us quoting incident number PR/P20258507",

They are also asking if anyone can help identify the man in the image.
