86-year-old killed in crash in Petersfield

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man has died following a crash involving a car and a pick-up truck in Petersfield.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened on the B2070 London Road yesterday afternoon (17 September).

The collision took place adjacent to Adhurst Farm, around 300 metres from the junction for the A272 Mihdurst Road, at about 4.10pm.

The 86-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene after his blue Nissan Micra collided with a black Ford Ranger.

Officers say they are “investigating the exact circumstances of the collision” and want to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have dash cam footage of the incident or the moments leading up to it.
