17-year-old boy dies in fatal crash in Effingham

Police are appealing for witnesses.

Police are appealing for witnesses after there was a single-vehicle collision at around 11.30pm yesterday evening on the A246 in Effingham.

Sadly a 17-year-old boy was declared dead at the scene and his next of kin have been made aware. His family are being supported by specialist officers.

Three other people were taken to hospital, one with serious injuries.

The road is currently closed in both directions, but should be re-opened by around 9am.
