Appeal for witnesses after young child injured in crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision hospitalised a young child in Ipswich.

Officers responded to calls of an incident at Woodbridge Road, just before 8:45am today (Wednesday 14 May).

There was a collision at the junction with Argyle Street involving a van and a young child.

The young boy sustained injuries that were initially thought to be serious and was quickly taken to Ipswich Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

Fortunately, on loser inspection, his injuries were confirmed as bruising and minor cuts.

Argyle Street is currently still closed for collision investigations to take place.

Witnesses to the collision, or anyone who has dash cam footage prior to the incident is being encouraged to reach out to police.
