Woman from Woolpit charged with intent to supply drugs

Police found a kilogram of suspected cannabis in a car she was driving

A woman from Woolpit's been charged with a drug offence, after a kilogram of cannabis was discovered in her car.

Police stopped a vehicle near Woolpit on Tuesday 18 June.

They then searched it and the driver, a 27 year old woman, under the Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act.

During these searches, officers found a 1kg bag containing what was suspected to be a Class B drug (cannabis).

The driver was arrested and was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

27 year-old Elle Nutkins, of Old Stowmarket Road, Woolpit, was subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.

She was bailed to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on 6 August.
