A bar in Woodbridge has been fined £1000 after being caught serving from a bar inside a marquee, which didn't have enough open sides.

An officer from East Suffolk Council's Food and Safety team visited the A Listers following concerns raised by members of the public.

The owner was advised that he needed to have at least 50% of wall areas open on the marquee at all time for it to be in line with Government guidance.

The officer returned a week later to find that the issue hadn't been fixed and so the owner was issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice.

Pubs, bars and restaurants can't serve indoors until the 17th May at the earliest according to Government guidelines.
