Woman dies after car crashes in Thorpeness

Suffolk Police have said a woman has died over the weekend following a road traffic collision.

It happened in Thorpeness over the weekend, and comes after the force were called to the incident just involving her car in the early morning.

They received the call at just before 4AM on Saturday (August 13) on the B1353 where they attended the incident - with the women in a Volkswagen Up.

Police say the woman - aged in her 70s - was taken to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital by air ambulance for emergency treatment but sadly later died.

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who may have seen the vehicle around the time of the collision.

They're also appealing for anyone with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle in the area at the time to get in touch with the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, referencing case 37/51872/22 and emailing SCIU@suffolk.police.uk or calling the police on 101.
