Woman dies in crash near Bury St Edmunds

Police have confirmed a crash on the A14 was fatal

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash in Rougham, near Bury St Edmunds, yesterday (16 February).

It involved a car and pedestrian on the A14 eastbound just after 5pm.

An air ambulance and volunteers from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service were in attendance but the pedestrian, aged in her 20s, died at the scene.

The carriageway was closed for several hours to allow investigation works to take place and is now open.

Anyone who witnessed it or has information is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team quoting CAD 230 of 16 February.
