Witness appeal after teenager assaulted outside college in Bury St Edmunds

The victim was punched and kicked after being approached by a group of people

Police are looking for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted in Bury St Edmunds last week.

It happened at around 2:35pm n Tuesday (January 17) on Beeton Way, near the Abbeygate sixth-form college.

The victim was approached by a group of five other young people, one of whom pushed him against a wall and punched and kicked him.

He suffered several injuries and his laptop was damaged.

The group involved then followed the victim into the college.

The suspect involved is described as white and wearing black clothing, with a snood pulled over his face.
