Police are hunting for two men after an armed robbery at a post office at Thorns Corner, Wickhambrook, over the weekend.

The two masked suspects entered the store at around 5:50pm on Saturday (February 25) and threatened two shop assistants with hammers.

The pair unsuccessfully tried to get the staff members to open the safe, before making off with the contents of the till.

Boht were wearing black ski masks, one wore a dark blue hooded top, was described as ‘stocky’ and was about five foot, 11 inches tall.

The second was wearing a matching shell suit with three strips down the side and also a grey ‘beanie’ hat.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch.
