A two year old boy has been treated in hospital after being bitten by a dog while out walking in Brandon.

It happened between 2:45pm and 3:15pm on Saturday 22 March, along a path off Church Road between Brandon Leisure Centre and the river.

A woman in her 50s was walking with her grandchildren in a buggy when she was approached by other woman with a black Rottweiler type dog.

The dog jumped up and ripped one of the children's clothing, scatching his arm.

He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital and was proscribed antibiotics as a precaution.

Police are looking for the owner of the dog, described as tall and slim, with dark hair worn in a ponytail. She spoke with an American accent.
