Two teens arrested in connection with Bury St Edmunds break-in

A third person is still wanted by officers

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a burglary in Burt St Edmunds.

Police were called at approximately 2:15am this morning (29 April), to reports of a burglary in progress.

Three males were seen in possession of a hammer breaking into the O2 store at Buttermarket.

Officers attended and the suspects fled the scene.

Two teenagers were later arrested in connection with the break-in.

An 18-year-old man from Ipswich and a 14-year-old boy from Leeds were arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where they remain.

A third male remains outstanding and police are conducting enquiries to locate him.
